The Philosophy

The program follows the guidelines of Maria Montessori, who discovered qualities in children higher than those usually attributed to them.

We believe that the best learning is self-learning. We see in each child a tremendous urge to learn and to develop indepen-dence. Each child starts where he/she is and progresses at his/her own speed and spontaneously learns many skills. Success builds on success. As your child gains inner direction and discipline, a positive self-image is built.

The Environment

The environment is the key that the teacher uses to open the appropriate learning opportunities to the child without forcing your child before they feel confident. The classroom is designed to invite your child to learn. Materials are prepared and presented, so that they are aware of its use, how to carry, how to handle and how to care for the item. The materials are "self-correcting," so that the child may concentrate without being constantly corrected by someone outside his work.
